2000 Chardonnay

Winemaking Notes

Harvested from the T3Long block on September 5 at 24.3°Brix with 0.73 TA and 3.65 pH.

Medium straw colored this wine reflects the flavors and characters of the River Junction Viticulture appellation. This small grape-growing region nestled between the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Rivers provides an enclave for Chardonnay. The wine produced from this region shows typical Chardonnay pear and apple flavors and in the case of the 2000 vintage a hint of citrus. Partially barrel fermented the wine has a complexity of oak and yeast flavors that comes from this style of wine production.
