2006 Syrah

Winemaking Notes
The grapes were harvested between September 12th and October 14th with an average Brix of 26.8. After 7-9 days of fermentation on the skins, the must was pressed and the resulting wine was left to finish fermentation in the tank. Aged for 4 months in a combination of new and used french oak.

Tasting Notes

The 2006 vintage has a very good depth of color with youthful ruby/garnet hues. Very fruity with lots of succulent raspberry fruit flavors lead to a round and supple finish. The aromas are of dense, big jammy fruit; blackberries and boysenberries. The bouquet delivers a nice complexity of sweet vanilla oak.
