2009 Petite Sirah

Winemaking Notes

The majority of fruit for our Petite Sirah is Estate grown. Harvest Dates were between September 21st and October 12, 2009 with an average Brix at Harvest of 25.7. The grapes were fermented in Stainless Steel and pressed after 7-9 days of fermentation. The resulting wine was aged in a combination of new and used, French and American oak for 4 months.

Tasting Notes
Deep purple in color with bright hues, the 2009 McManis Family Vineyards Petite Sirah is full of Boysenberry and Blueberry fruit aromas. Mocha notes contributed from oak aging are also present. The wine is big, rich and full of juicy red and black fruit flavors.
