2003 Syrah

Winemaking Notes
The 2003 vintage has a very good depth of color with youthful ruby/garnet hues. The aromas are of dense, big jammy fruit; raspberries and plums. The bouquet delivers a nice complexity of sweet vanilla. The succulent fruit flavors lead to a toasted oak mid palage and then onto a finish of cocoa and spicy oak. There is some structure here that will reward the patient with additional complexities upon aging.
