2007 Syrah

Winemaking Notes
The grapes were harvested between August 27th and September 3, 2007 with an average Brix of 26.9. After 7-9 days of fermentation on the skins, the must was pressed and the resulting wine was left to finish fermentation in the tank. Aged for 4 months in a combination of new and used french oak.

Tasting Notes

The 2007 McManis Family Vineyards Syrah is medium-dark purple in color. Aromas of Currant and Plum mingle with Clove and Cinnamon. Also, a subtle meatiness, characteristic of Syrah is present. This big rich wine is full of bright Blueberry and Blackberry flavors, the lingering finish is fruity with hints of cocoa.
