2007 Merlot

Winemaking Notes
After a long harvest from September 8th through October 9th, the many lots of Merlot averaged 25.8 degrees brix at harvest. All of the must was fermented for 7-9 days on the skin, pressed and the resulting wine finished fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes
With aromas of black and red berry fruits, the 2007 Merlot also exhibits a hint of flint, Vanillin and Hazelnut on the nose. 6 months of French Oak aging has contributed to the oak flavors that linger after an initial surge of sweet Raspberry, Blueberry and Blackberry.
