2003 Merlot

Winemaking Notes
Deep purple color, with youthful bright hues characterize this wine's appearance. The aromas feature ripe dark red fruits; boysenberry, loganberry and blackberry. A bouguet of toasted oak with hints of milk chocolate compliments the aromas. On the pallet the ripe fruit flavors give the wine a delightful brightness and a distinct fruit forward orientation. The oak flavors provide a rich creamy texture that is free of astringent tannins. The finish is lengthy and full of toasted oak that lingers with a suggestion of mocha and coffee.
